the best thing i've learned this week

Putting the kids to bed at 8 pm is genius. This may be obvious advice to some of you out there but Ben and I stumbled across this by accident this week and I'll tell you what, it is amazing what fun we have in the two hours before bedtime. There's time for games, hobbies, working out, uninterrupted conversation... It's like we are actually married again, not just two people raising children in the same building. Not that things were that bad before, it's just that now it feels like date night every night! If you haven't tried this yet you really should. It's awesome.

You guys are awesome!!! WAs it hard to get them to bed at the same time? I'm so glad you have more time together! Love you!

well, i know what you mean. i keep the kids in bed ALL the time. and at their own houses so their parents have to deal with them. in fact, i never even see kids. and yet i don't feel married.

sorry, too much sarcasm? i really think it's great.

We try to get our kids to go to bed between 7 and 8 and have them look at books for the hour before bed. It does work our so nicely. I think it does so much for your marriage, and sanity. Stick with it, it really does make life easier.
