fishin for fun

We've been getting bored lately, Benson and I. It's hard for us to have so much fun with family for 3 days and then come home to nothing. We made a fish pond recently, and Benson bought some bubbles with his allowance money but, ugh. We are finding it difficult to find ways to fill the many hours in a day. What do you do? Any suggestions?

You should get the family fun magizine. I use to get it just for the heck of it and there are a lot of fun ideas in there. Other than that I don't know...I am unexperienced....sorry...but I love you and I am sure you will think of something!

I don't know if you guys have a set schedule, but the day goes so much more smoothly with one... and quickly! I try to plan set times each day for the girls to play outside, do a craft, read stories, watch a show, have some quiet time, ect. The girls are happy because they know what to expect and they get to do some fun stuff. Each day doesn't work out perfectly, but if I don't have some kind of routine I find that we all get bored and antsy. I hope that helps!

Oh, and I agree with Amber that Family Fun is a good resource for projects. Good call, Am! :)

schedule is definately a good idea. Try getting a pre-school planning book. There's tons of fun things to do and you definately won't be bored! Or I could send you one of mine...

If you are looking for fun crafts to do there are a lot of different sites that have printable projects. Haley loves to cut and paste so we do that sometimes. We try to get outside if the weather permits. Playdoh and moonsand are her favorites and since we can only play with it when maddy goes to sleep she loves it more because its something thats she has all to herself. OH and i picked up a few board games around christmas time... haley LOVES lucky ducks. if you dont have it you should give it a try. hope this helps!
