the big news

What a cute little bummy shot...

of...

our...

little....

baby.....

BOY!

So if you are as surprised as we are raise your hand. We actually had a secret ultrasound about a month ago (at 17 weeks) and were told he looked an awful lot like a girl. But apparently it only took a few short weeks for our girl to sprout a very obvious boy part, because there was definitely no doubt. And this is the exact reason we didn't tell people... just in case. So there you go. Hat trick people, you win.

Congratulations! I hope you didn't shed any tears...

Three boys is the "in" thing, anyway!
I have three sister-in-laws and one cousin with the same stats. (None have had a fourth child, yet.)

Would you ever have guessed that God would claim you as an excellent mommy for boys?

Congratulations again!

Oh Carrie, I know this was not the news you were hoping for! I know the mixed feelings that come with such news. Having been there and done that, allow me give you some advice. Start prepping your snappy comebacks (for when people ask if you're going to try again for a girl), your evil stares (for when people act as if there's no point in having another child if it's just going to be another boy, and your your eye rolls (for when people act as if you are some freak of nature because you have three children of the same gender). And remember that the best way to feel like a princess is to be surrounded by a bunch of handsome boys who will treat you as such and then some.

Awww! CONGRATS! I'm happy for you, I was actually kinda jealous when I found out I am having a girl, especially cause I could have her on my birthday. I'm not going to be the princess anymore, just think you'll still be the princess :] I'm really excited for you. YOu're a hot mama that makes some dang cute BOYS!! :]

CONGRATULATIONS! my favorite sister has (my favorite) three boys. in fact, your second looks an awful lot like her second to me... but i digress.

what i am saying is that your little family is going to be even more wonderful! i can't wait to see the critter!

(and now i am going to make them re-check the gender business at my ultrasound on tuesday.)

I was so sure that you were having a little girl! But like other's have said...you have the cutest little boys! Plus, Banks will love having a little brother to play with! So now you just need a name!

if the one in my belly turns out to be a girl, do you want to trade? i'm only ten weeks, so you might get pretty attached to yours by the time i give birth. *evil laughter*

sigh...congratulations carrie, the major point here to me seems to be that this little baby is so lucky to come to your sweet family. you make good old june cleaver look bad.

i feel i'm also destined for a gender jackpot (that's my positive way of referring to it). we'll see.

Carrie, I'm sorry that you aren't having your girl yet. Madeline would have loved a girl cousin. But at the same time, I really feel like this world needs more well-trained men . . . and they come from wonderful loving mothers. That's you! I'm not just saying that. I see talents in you that will bless these boys and everyone around them because of it! So congratulations! Here's to the continuation of your adventures in boyland!
