general life stuff

Benson thinks this is his gun and runs around going, "Bam bam bam!" all the time.

Banks loves to help with the dishes and here he is doing that and kissing for the camera.

Well I haven't posted in a while so I figured I should put something on here. The problem is that I've not got a lot to write. Ben is working hard at school and trying to find the fastest path to graduation. I am just doing regular mom stuff, as usual. Benson has a chore chart now which I have to say is the most genius thing ever. He is so much more cooperative now it's amazing. We are ever working on getting the whining under control but I think we are making progress. And Banks. Oh Banks. He is sick -again- but getting better and still so cute! And we are all nervously watching the weather report in anticipation of our trip next week. That's about it!

I am praying the weather will be 60 and sunny, but I will take as close to that as I can get for you guys! I hope it is good so you can make it. We love seeing you! General stuff is always good!

What kind of chore chart are you using? And what kind of chores is he in charge of?

Abby- I just made a chore chart- It's pretty awesome looking with all my drawings. lol. Anyway he has to put on his clothes, make his bed, no whining, put his toys away, say his prayer (he doesn't like to do this every night so it's on the chore chart so he will), no hitting Banks, and using the potty all by himself. He will be three in less than a month and he seems to understand the concept of this pretty well. It's really helpful.

I need to get back to the chore chart. We've done so well for the summer months. It's cool what little kids are able to do. My kids love to help clean mirrors, vacuum, sweep, etc. It not really done perfect but it's start in the right direction. You are doing great Carrie. Sounds like you are making it fun for Benson too.
