photos from the zoo but only because i am bored silly right now

Banks was very unsure of the zoo animals to say the least

I might die of boredom today. Seriously. I'm soooooooo bored. Aaaaaaak. And so you get pictures of the zoo (and one that Ben took randomly). I hope you are not as bored as I am today.

one random fact

I've seen these posts called 6 random facts everywhere lately and I feel inspired to give just one random fact about myself. So here goes.

1. I can't eat toast. By 3 bites in, I'm running to the sink to barf, and this has been going on for a few years now. I don't have any negative association with toast, and I love the taste of toast, but I must be allergic or something, because it makes me puke every time.

I hope you enjoyed my one random fact.

tracy olympics

We really enjoyed watching the olympics together, especially the sprinting. We spent lots of time watching them and doing our own races over and over.

and the moral of the story is always check the garbage

I'M BANKSZILLA, COMING TO STEAL YOUR KEYS AND MAKE YOU THINK YOU ARE LOSING YOUR MIND!!
I have been looking for the keys to the beemer, mon since yesterday morning when I was in desperate need to get out of the house. I looked and steamed and stewed until Ben came home and repeated the three (although with less steaming and stewing because he had his keys). Finally this morning the garbage was getting ripe for the taking out and Ben mentioned that we better check the garbage and wouldn't you know... KEYS! They were covered with, well, garbage but I'm glad to have found them. Sounds like it's time to put the garbage out of reach of the little 18 month old monster that moved in recently.

This does make me wonder if all the many things on my list of wanted items lost were simply waiting to be discovered in that bucket of filth. I guess it's too late now.

eggs!

our eggs with a white one for comparison

Bluebell looks on as her egg is stolen from beneath her. Just kidding she lays the green ones.
Ok so it's kinda hard to tell but the hens are laying brown eggs and sage green ones. I should take another close up photo but I ate the green ones for dinner so I'll have to take a picture of the new one tomorrow.

The time has finally come and those girls are earning their keep. We now get to enjoy the excitement of two fresh eggs daily. Sigh. We love our chickens!

we're back

...but you probably didn't even know we left. I get strangely paranoid that someone is going to figure out my address and rob me blind if I announce I'm going on a trip so I don't like to say anything until I get back. Sooo, we're back! We spent 2 weeks in Michigan with Ben's family and we truly had THE best time. Oh man. We are completely sold on Michigan and hope to move there if Ben gets into med school at U of M. Anyway, a special sorry to my parents and family in Utah... we missed being able to see you and hope to see you soon. And to the Ben's family; we miss you already and we all missed those who couldn't come. Sigh. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see everyone again and even though I talk serious trash about New Mexico it's really not that bad and we have an open invitation for those who'd like to visit.

Get ready to be assaulted by photos.

midnight party!

Last night was finally time to drag my friends to Barnes and Noble at 10 pm for the midnight release of Breaking Dawn. The whole thing was ridiculous but so much fun because of the ladies that came with me! We started the night with dinner at Sara's house (thank you!) and our husbands played video games like happy little boys and it was cute. The girls wore black clothes (my shirt said "team edward") and red lipstick and I painted my nails black for the first time in my life. And, most importantly, we didn't fall asleep before it was time to buy the new book and I'm so excited to start reading! Thanks, Natalie and Sara for being fun at midnight with me.
