easter 2009

I told Benson that the Easter Bunny was too tired to come to our house this year. Benson said, "What's the Easter Bunny?" Obviously my lack of get-it-doneness is still acceptable at age 4. Whew. I have one more year to get my act together and then it's traditions (traditions! do dee do dee do, traditions!) from now until the end of time.

Thanks to my lovely go get'em friends the littlies did at least have an Easter egg hunt. Which was super fun. AND they've already forgotten about the candy, which is super awesome. And today we had a lovely Christ-centered Sunday, full of church, and dinner with friends (thanks again, Natalie!), and missionary discussions. And that's the most important part so maybe I'm not too bad a mom after all.

ugh, so me. i had to do a group bath with the girls this morning, while martin put makeshift baskets together. and easter dresses were purchased in a frenzy from target late last night. i kept trying to tell myra about Jesus being resurrected, and she kept asking about the easter bunny.

haha- my next door neighbor asked me yesterday if i was gonna remember to give ambrose an easter basket this year... and she said it in this tone that made me feel like she was gonna call CPS if i didnt respond with a very enthusiastic YES! so, late sat. night i went over to the grocery store and bought the only things that werent sold out and put them in some baskets my mother in law had laying around with some easter egg tissue paper she has had for who knows how long... hope she doesnt mind! :)

i dont know why i cant get my act together when it comes to easter. i like candy, i like holidays, but it just seems like such a hassle. :)

Well, my kids got easter baskets, and Todd and I did too, but not from the Easter Bunny. The thought of a giant bunny coming into our house is not a pleasant thought for Ethan! We now have too much candy. . .

hahaha rachel, ethan really cracks me up!!

Carrie, the hats look awesome, I'm glad we were able to figure out how to make them. Kolt wanted to get Destry an easter basket and I laughed at him. But nanna came through for Kolt and gave us some candy. Too bad i ate some and then Destry didn't tolerate his feedings later. Sigh. Goodbye chocolate.

Right- so that picture of Benson holding up the egg is pretty much my favorite picture of ALL TIME. I love those boys of yours!!!

...And forget Easter candy and bunnies and all of that. Celebrate Preaster like we do. :)

I love the bunny ears! Benson is such a doll in them. Hunter got skipped by the Easter bunny too. hehe

Wow, you are popular!
I just wanted to say thanks for the totally tubular hair cut! I'm loving it! Brett said it was hot (and that lead to other things... shoot! ; )
Haha! You are awesome, just wanted to tell you!

Am I the only May Day Tracy out there now? Not this year though, which will make next year's easter kind of tricky because oh boy, my kids sure did "get it".
