(Benson at the front door, asleep in Daddy's jacket and hat, waiting for his car to turn the corner)
There is no one in the world these boys love as much as their daddy.
All day long they wait
and wait
and wait
for the garage door to open so they can greet Daddy with hugs and stories, and "come see this!"es.
I used to feel a little jealous, but now I just feel lucky.
Lucky my kids have a dad they love so much, and who loves them back even more.
And lucky that I feel the same way as they do.
There is no better sound than the low rumble of the garage door opening.

I love it! These are the great things in life.
awww!! So cute! Des gets so excited when his dad appears at the end of the day. His little eyes light up and he starts a-crawlin' as fast as he can. It makes me so happy to see the love he has for his daddy.
How sweet! What a cute picture.
totally agree- we dont have many garages around here- but when the boys and i pull up from a long day of errands and we see thomas' car in teh driveway my heart goes pitter patter along with the pitter patter of little feet to go get their daddy!
I totally agree. Though in our new house- the garage is not connected to the house- so you can't hear it open. I miss it.
So sweet!
Ugh. That just totally made me cry. :)
Sounds like a whole lot of loving going on in this house. To appreciate every minute of it makes it all the more precious. You've found the secret of a truly happy life...that's all that really counts when all is said and done. Thanks for sharing.
How cute is that... And i think that Where the wild things are is the most depressing movie EVER!!! Oh and this is kinda random but have you ever knit washcloths?? I am trying to find a good, quick pattern...
